Disappointment… a lesson learned…

Well… yesterday I was supposed to be racing “en vélo.” I dunno if i’d have been able to keep up but it was on my domain… my local roads and I had been looking forward to it. Anyway I didn’t get a ride, there wasn’t enough space, It might be an understatment to say I was gutted but “c’est la vie” and it saved me £15… fifteen Quid!!!… I don’t know how British Cycling can expect to encourage young cyclists like me when it costs so much… if I really get into racing and race as often as is sensible then it would cost me as much as my bike is worth new each year… £800 (probably)… as it is I probably spend how much I bought my bike for (£430) with BC membership, Racing Lisence, Race fees, Bike Maintenance plus doing the Tour of Wessex cyclosportif…
